Christine Copers

Innovation Manager at Fedict, the Belgian federal administration for ICT. Fedict designs and promotes the federal e-government strategy and assists federal administrations in creating better services through the use of ICT. Fedict was created in 2001 and has some 80 employees, more than half of whom come from the private sector. As Innovation Manager, my focus is on supporting the Digital Agenda (open data, start-ups ecosystem, citizen portal) and monitoring closely the technology trends and the way people deal with them.

I worked in media most of my career (major newspapers, Sanoma Magazines, web publishers). I live in Antwerp with the loves of my life – husband and son-, I work in Brussels, have a twin sister and am a bit of a girl geek. Love to read, travel, cook and generally try to look at the world with curiosity and a positive mind set.
